چکیده
A 64-year-old woman , in previous good health except for a questionable history of mild hypertension, complained of frontal headache with nausea and dizziness on the evening before admission. She was found unresponsive the next morning. Physical examination revealed a left hemiparesis and a blood pressure of 150/ 64 mm Hg. CT revealed a large frontal intracerebral hematoma with minimal shift. Layering of blood within a cystic cavity below the hematoma was noted (Fig . 1). There was no enhancement after administering a 100 ml bolus injection of meglumine diatrizoate (Renografin 60). Because of rapid deterioration , the patient was taken immediately

Severe symptomatic vasospasm after rupture of an arteriovenous malformation.
A 31-year-old woman had intracerebral and intraventricular hemorrhage from an arteriovenous malformation. Vasospasm of the internal carotid arteries developed and was treated with angioplasty. On initial CT scans, only traces of blood were seen in the basal cisterns; thus, the development of symptomatic vasospasm was an unexpected complication.

Arteriovenous aneurysms may be congenital (arteriovenous malformation, AVM) or acquired (arteriovenous fistula, AVF). AVFs after a renal transplant biopsy are seldom, but well recognized, usually harmless complications [1]. Congenital AVMs are usually of the cirsoid (racemose) type [2], characterized by a tangle of tortuous vessels of small diameter, with multiple varix-like communications betw...

Cerebral Arteriovenous Malformation (CAVM) hemodynamic in disease condition results changes in the flow and pressure level in blood vessels. Cerebral Arteriovenous Malformation (CAVM) is an abnormal shunting of vessels between arteries and veins. It is one of the common Brain disorder. In general, the blood flows of cerebral region are from arteries to veins through capillary bed. This paper is...

Cerebrovascular abnormalities are extremely complex, due to the multitude of factors acting simultaneously on cerebral hemodynamics. Cerebral Arterio Venous Malformation (CAVM) hemodynamic in one of the vascular abnormality condition results changes in the flow and pressure level in blood vessels. This can cause rupture or decreased blood supply to the tissue through capillary causing infarct. ...

A previously healthy 9-year-old girl presented with sudden-onset headache followed by confusion. In the emergency department, she was hypertensive, bradycardic, and no longer responsive to any stimuli. An emergent head CT scan demonstrated a left frontal intraparenchymal hematoma with intraventricular and subarachnoid extension as well as subfalcine herniation (figure). She underwent decompress...
